Who is performing:
DEAN TORRENCE was the co-founder, co-lead singer and co-writer of the hit surf duo JAN & DEAN. The duo scored a huge string of hit songs throughout the 60s until Jan’s tragic car crash near the Sunset Boulevard setting of their hit Dead Man’s Curve put their career on hold. The duo reunited in 1978 after their highly rated biopic Deadman’s Curve aired on CBS and successfully toured for the next three decades. Since Jan Berry’s passing in 2004, Dean has kept the Beach Party going, and brings the greatest hits of JAN & DEAN and THE BEACH BOYS with his band THE SURF CITY ALLSTARS, including Surf City, Drag City, I Get Around, The Little Old Lady From Pasadena, California Girls, Ride the Wild Surf, Little Deuce Coupe, Sidewalk Surfin’, Barbara Ann, Good Vibrations and Fun Fun Fun. The equally legendary Surf City Allstars are the only band in the world featuring members who’ve played and sang lead vocals with both the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean bands.
Joining Dean and the Surf City Allstars for this event…Award-winning actor BRUCE DAVISON (NCIS, 1923, Ozark, X-Men), who actually portrayed Dean Torrence on screen in the Jan & Dean biopic Deadman’s Curve, and DIAMOND FARNSWORTH (NCIS, JAG, Pearl Harbor, Batman Forever), legendary actor, stunt coordinator and stuntman who doubled for Bruce as Dean in Deadman’s Curve.
Are tickets still available?
The ticket portal is open on the Museum website and tickets (and drink tickets) can also be purchases at the Museum.
How much are the tickets?
General seating is $200 per seat. VIP seats are $275 per seat. All tickets include dinner. VIP tickets include access to a special Jan & Dean video screening in the Museum Theater at 10:00am and 2:00pm Saturday and the Museum pre-concert reception (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) All General seating ticket holders who are members of the Museum of Western Film History, are invited to the museum V.I.P. reception. What is being served for dinner?
A Beach Blanket BBQ.
Vegetarian dinners are available and MUST be pre-ordered when purchasing tickets. When you purchase your ticket(s) online you will be able to choose either a Western Beach Blanket or a Vegetarian dinner. Please mark your choice.
Are specific seats/tables assigned.
Yes, seats will be assigned on a first-come basis. Tables seat either eight or ten. VIP seats are closer to the stage, but the sound and view are excellent from any seat.
Can I buy a table?
Yes, those buying eight or ten seats will automatically be placed at one table.
Where do I pick up my ticket(s)?
All tickets/access passes to the concert, reception, and pre-purchased beverage tickets (see below) can be picked up at the Museum starting Wednesday June 11. Museum hours on Friday are 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. and begin on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Note: The Museum will be closed to the public beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday to prepare for the theater screening and reception which begins at 4:00 p.m.
Special Saturday V.I.P. ticketholder events: The Jan & Dean Video Screening (10:00am and 2:00pm) and Museum Welcome Cocktail Reception (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
***Special Jan & Dean Video screening in the Museum Theater at 10:00 am and 2:00pm. NOTE: Theater seating for the screening is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. V.I.P. ticket does not guarantee a seat for the screening.

Where is the Concert venue?
Lone Ranger Canyon, Alabama Hills, Lone Pine, CA. It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that the event takes place in a desert canyon with an uneven surface of dirt. PLEASE take this into consideration when choosing appropriate shoes to wear for the evening.
Upon arrival to the Alabama Hills location, it will be HOT and Sunny. We recommend bringing protective sunscreen and wearing appropriate hats and sunglasses.
How will attendees be transported to the venue?
The Concert is held in Lone Ranger Canyon and in compliance of the BLM’s concerns over excess traffic in the Alabama Hills, all guests will be transported to and from the dinner/concert venue by bus. Buses will start leaving at 5:00 for the canyon. The last bus is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
Can I drive?
NO personal cars of ticket holders will be admitted to the venue location.
What if someone in my party is in a wheelchair?
Please call the Museum on 760-876-9103 so the staff can make arrangements for you.
Is the cost of the Concert/Dinner tax deductible?
This is a charity benefit Dinner/Concert. The Museum of Western Film History is a charitable non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Consult your accountant. Tax ID #95-3645691.
Will beverages be served?
Yes, all ticket buyers will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to purchase “Beverage Tickets” online and prior to the concert. Beverage tickets are $5.00 each: Usage value as follows:
Soft drinks: 1 Ticket Beer: 2 Tickets
Wine: 2 Tickets Mixed drink 3 Tickets
Bottle of wine 6 Tickets
** Water is Free
Note: All guests will be required to present a photo ID upon check-in, as verification of Drinking Age; and will be issued a wristband to confirm eligibility to exchange beverage tickets for drinks at the venue. Wristbands will be required to participate.
Will bathrooms be available?
Yes, a number of porta-potties are installed for the concert.

Is there Internet available in Lone Ranger Canyon?
There is NO internet access in the Alabama Hills.

Are you having a problem with your ticket purchase?
Pre-sales to Museum members are validated through the email you have used to register as a museum member. If for some reason your email is not registered with the museum, you will need to contact the museum to have your email entered into the validation database to proceed.
