Lone Pine Theatre is the “Silver Screen” for the entertainment archives of the Museum of Western Film History in Lone Pine, California. While many of the videos are FREE and accessible to the public, in future months, additional videos will be added as exclusive content for Museum members only. The Museum of Western Film History is America’s leading institution of Western Film documenting the silver screen stories and legendary iconic heroes and heroines of the America’s West. Founded in 2006 the museum, located in Lone Pine, California collects, preserves and exhibits a broad and diverse collection of western film memorabilia associated with the American western film genre.
The channel will have an assortment of playlists. These include; On Location In Lone Pine videos of tours and events, Commercials shot in Lone Pine, Film Festival archival video, Concert in the Rocks trailers and videos on the Alabama Hills. The channel will also highlight documentaries, interviews and other video in support of the Western Film Community. In particular we want to thank producers, Brent Baader, Mark Bedor, Rob Word and Jay Dee Witney for their support tp permit their films to our channel.. Word on Westerns: With a special emphasis on the Western genre, A WORD ON WESTERNS, is devoted to preserving and documenting the history of film, television and other media. Written, produced, directed and hosted by television veteran Rob Word, episodes feature interviews with filmmakers and performers, most conducted at The Autry Museum in LA with some filmed “On Location in Lone Pine.
